High School Small Groups
High School Small Groups are a great place to grow closer in community with other students. They help students develop deeper friendships and they create a safe environment to help students grow deeper in their faith. Our desire is that every student in our ministry would become part of this type of community.

Small Group Five Core Values

Our small groups consist of a few key elements:
  • An adult leader who is relationally connected with a peer group of students, growing deeper in relationship with God and each other. (Click Here to See Staff Leaders)
  • Exploring the Bible in order to understand how it applies to our lives.
  • Honestly sharing struggles and pain in exchange for grace, accountability and life transformation.
  • Having fun being together.

Currently, High School Small Groups meet on a weekly basis, each Wednesday, from 7-9pm at WACC. Come to the Pit at 7pm and we will be waiting there to connect you with your group. Keep an eye on your calendar each month for Outside Small Groups as well.

Nestled in the Sequoia National Forest, Hume Lake Christian Camps is on 365 acres of beautiful terrain. Whether it is the intense recreation, the countless free time opportunities, the amazing worship experiences, or the quality people, Hume Lake is unparalleled as a camp experience. in For years, WACC High School Ministry has seen thousands of students from our community transformed during their Hume experience, and we want that for you this summer!

Because camp fills up quickly, you can begin registering now by returning the enclosed High School Summer Camp Registration Card with a deposit of $125 to the “High School Ministry” at Whittier Area Community Church. You can also email the completed Registration card back to Becky Kent at Becky@wacc.net.

We know the cost for Camp can be intimidating; especially with the financial climate we are living in these days, but the investment is 100% worth it. For families in financial need, please apply for a partial scholarship. We are anticipating and preparing for more need this year than ever before, so if money is the reason your student is not attending camp, please consider filling out a camp scholarship form. Once you’ve filled out the form, please turn it in at any high school ministry event or to the church office. Scholarship money runs out each year, so again, please apply early.
